The Bush Administration governing of Iraq was a fiasco. But they were geniuses compared to the current Administration.

Yes they were, and we never thought we would see the day in our country where that would be fact.

You misspelled "lied". Hmph.

There's no reason it has to be a "forever war." That is a fatalist position, and a country that believes a swift end to this madness is impossible is not a country that is going to end it. I'm sure a lot of people thought Libya was a "forever war" in the making, too. Libya was just an ill-advised operation that came and went quickly, and this a pointless, illegal war that has almost certainly been planned incompetently. Who knows how long, or briefly, it could last.

This is what the Peace party offers us? Would have been much better of with the remaining with the Violence party. But - both Peace and Violence and big words, and beyond the average magamoron 4 letter limit for comprehension.

Nice to see Trump closing the loop on Biden’s foreign policy and restoring a kind of bipartisan continuity in how we handle leaders accused of serious abuses.

If we are truly restoring a kind of papartisian continuity and abiding by our Constitution, the pedoprez is the one that we should be targeting.

That’s a perfectly valid position if it’s stated honestly that way.

My issue isn’t disagreement — it’s selective accountability being presented as principle. A lot of people are effectively saying “apply standards only to people I dislike,” but framing it as constitutional concern or moral consistency. You’re at least being explicit about where you draw the line. Most aren’t, and that’s where the conversation breaks down.
