No Boots, No Bombs: Americans Reject War Path
Majority prefer diplomacy or non-involvement as tensions rise between Iran and Israel
With conflict breaking out between Israel and Iran, many are left wondering how the federal government will respond. The Trump administration has wavered, ramping up its rhetoric, but has not (yet) engaged in direct military support for Israel.
As tensions escalate between the two nations, pollsters have begun gauging American sentiment, and the results come as little surprise.
Echelon Insights asked Americans whether they believe Iran poses a threat to either the US or Israel. Among respondents, 58% said Iran poses a major threat to Israel, while only 31% said the same for the United States. Another 21% viewed Iran as a minor threat to Israel, compared to 38% who said the same regarding the US
With just over three in ten Americans viewing Iran as a serious threat to the US, the question becomes: how many support American involvement in the conflict?
