In the past few days, we’ve received a number of new polls for the New York City mayoral race from Siena, Quinnipiac, Emerson, and YouGov.

Looking at just these four most recent polls, Zohran Mamdani remains far ahead of his mayoral rivals, with an average of the polls putting him at 48 percent.

Mamdani’s next closest opponent, Andrew Cuomo, is running twenty-one points behind at 27 percent, while the Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa, is even further back at 15 percent. Eric Adams rounds out the pack with 10 percent, remaining in last place among the candidates.

It’s clear that Mamdani remains the favorite to win the mayoral election, which should not be surprising to anyone paying attention. The candidate with the (D) beside their name was always going to be the favorite, but Mamdani is easily outpacing his opponents.

So what is the situation like below the topline, and how exactly is Mamdani doing with individual voter segments ahead of November’s election?

Among NYC Democratic voters, Mamdani is winning them over with 61 percent on average, while his former Democratic primary opponent, Cuomo, is picking up a little over a quarter of Democrats with 27 percent. The former Democratic mayor, Adams, is not even breaking double digits, with support at 8 percent, while Sliwa nabs the other 4 percent.

Let’s continue the dive and see how young New Yorkers, independents, and the boroughs are breaking down!
