Iran War Begins Without Public Enthusiasm
Americans are already questioning the war as the political battle at home intensifies
Welcome to the Polling USA House model for March 8, 2026!
We’re a little over a week into the war with Iran, and things aren’t slowing down anytime soon. Gas prices are spiking in the United States, oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz are practically zero, and many nations are about to be on the brink of energy shortages as a result.
This war, launched by Israeli-American forces, has no clear objective in mind and what was supposed to be a quick twenty-minute jaunt into the Middle East seems like it may last for months at the least. We’ll just have to wait and see, but until then the situation in American politics remains broadly the same.
The latest model update has the Democrats retaining 236 seats on average in the race for the House, while the Republicans stay at 199.
Let’s chat about some of the recent polls and cover the model results further.
