The situation more than a year out from the midterm elections, should they even be held at this rate, has shifted somewhat after the Texas redistricting was finally finalized by the legislature.
In the last update for Substack, the Democrats were at 233 seats, while the Republicans clocked in at 202. Now, with a slightly smaller polling lead for the Democrats and the impact of Texas redistricting, the Democrats are down to 228 while the Republicans are up to 207.
